Welcome to the 2009 Gobi-SEO Summer Internship Program. This program is held by Sponsors for Educational Opportunity China and co-sponsored by Gobi Partners, one of the leading venture capital firms in China. This joint program will provide SEO recruits with infinite opportunities and valuable resources to access the capital market in China and the world. The program will also help SEO recruits and alumni establish connections within the financial industry and cultivate leadership skills.

During this 10-week program, you will receive training through the eyes of an investor, acquiring knowledge in areas such as investment banking, management consulting, private equity and venture capital. You will be paired with one of Gobi’s investment managers who will mentor you on market analysis, company valuations and negotiations, and due diligence. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Investment Summit 2009 of Gobi Partners to broaden your horizon and network with investment professionals. During this summer program, you will work on an Industry Analysis Competition and present your research in front of Gobi’s investment team and your fellow SEOers. Your internship performance will be evaluated based on the competition results.

A key part of the summer internship is the Charity program. We believe that the success of an individual is defined not only by his/her own career achievements but also by how he/she gives back to the community. The SEO China 2009 class will be expected to plan and execute philanthropic projects within their communities.
